Setting up your Pinterest Account for Paid Amplification

Why does #paid need to be a member in my Pinterest Ad Account? 

For some campaigns, the Brand may request to run licensed ads in their own Business Manager account. In these situations, #paid acts as the mediator between you (the Creator) and the Brand. With this access, #paid can safely connect you to the Brand's Ad Account without providing them with full access. 

Once the campaign is over, #paid will safely disconnect you from the Brand. #paid is your trusted partner. We ensure brands only have access to your Facebook page and Instagram handle for the duration of the campaign(s) you've been contracted for.

STEP 1: Setting up your Pinterest Account

1. Click on the drop-down under your name and "Add Profile" 

2. Enter your name and select "Influencer, Public Figure, or Celebrity" and click the Next button

3. Select "Yes, I'm interested in advertising"

4. Enter your contact information and indicate that you will be working with an agency

5. Choose the topics that best describe your business. You must select at least one.

6. Populate your Business Profile with your board by selecting the boards you want to feature to ensure your profile looks professional

STEP 2: Granting #paid Advertiser Access 

Now that you've setup your Pinterest Business Account, you will need to grant #paid "Campaign" and "Audience" Access so we can amplify your content. Campaign Access will allow #paid the ability to create, edit, and manage all aspects of the advertising campaign. Audience Access will allow #paid to create or edit audiences, while also viewing existing Pinterest tags 

Follow these six easy steps below so that you're ready to have your content promoted for your first Pinterest campaign!

1. Click on the Ads dropdown menu and select "Overview"

2. Click on the drop-down menu under your name and select "View Account Settings"

3. Select the "Add People" 

4. Add the #paid account email ([e-mail]) and press ENTER on your keyboard or select Add to Account

5. Select “Admin Access"” as the levels of access you are granting and click the “Add to Account” button

6. Finally, verify that access has been granted successfully by click on the drop-down beside your name and then on the "View Account Settings" button. You should see #paid under "Access"
