What are Usage Rights?
Usage rights allow your brand to repurpose creator content on paid or owned channels.

Where do I purchase usage rights?
You can purchase usage rights directly from the Usage Rights tab within your campaign. This tab allows you to view content, choose placements, and complete purchases instantly.
Getting started
1. Open the Usage Rights tab
Navigate to the Usage Rights tab at the top of your campaign workspace.
2. Select a piece of content
Click into the asset you’d like to purchase usage rights for.
You’ll notice:
- You’ll see actual dollar amounts
- The modal displays a cleaner, more detailed breakdown
3. Choose your placement
Select the category (e.g., Digital), then choose a specific placement such as:
- OLV
- Display
- VR
Note:
If you’ve already purchased a usage right for a specific placement, you will see a “None” option appear for duration or impressions (explained later).
If you have not purchased yet, “None” will not appear.
4. Select your duration and impressions
Choose how long you want the asset to be active, and the maximum impressions included.

Example:
- Duration: 3 months
- Impressions: Up to 10 million
Click Add placement.
You’ll see a summary of your selections appear below the asset, including:
- Placement name
- Duration
- Impressions
- Pricing
Any duration discounts
5. (Optional) Add additional placements
You can add multiple placements for the same asset.
Example:
- Add OLV → 3 months → 10M impressions
- Add Display → 6 months → 10M impressions
Each placement appears as its own line item.
6. Review totals and add to cart
At the top of the modal, you’ll see:
- Total cost
- Total duration discounts
- All selected placements grouped together
When ready, click Add to my cart.
This moves your selected rights from the modal into the Cart.
7. Open your cart
Click Cart in the navigation bar.
You will see a full summary, including:
- All placements added
- Duration and impressions for each
- Active until dates
- Individual costs
Total cost + total discount
8. Confirm and complete your purchase
Check the box confirming the terms, then click Confirm the purchase.
Usage purchases are billed immediately through Stripe.
Updating or Extending Existing Usage Rights
If you’ve already purchased usage rights for an asset, you can extend either the duration, the impression cap, or both.
1. Open the asset with existing purchased rights
From the Usage Rights tab, select an asset that already has usage rights applied.
You’ll be able to see previously purchased placements such as:
- Digital
- OLV
- Display
- Offline
2. Select the same placement to extend it
Choose the placement you want to modify (e.g., Display).
You will now see extension options.
3. Extend only the duration
If you want to continue running the same placement longer:
- Set Duration to the additional time you want (e.g., +1 month)
Set Impressions to None
Example:
You purchased 3 months of Display. You are currently in month 2, and want 1 more month → select:
- Duration: 1 month
- Impressions: None
4. Extend only the impressions
If you want to reach a larger audience but maintain your existing timeline:
- Set Duration to None
Select a higher impression tier
Example:
You bought 10M impressions, but want to scale up to 50M impressions → set:
- Duration: None
- Impressions: 50M
5. System prevents selecting tiers you already own
If you choose an impression level or duration tier that you’ve already purchased, you will receive an error message prompting you to select a higher tier.
This ensures you only extend rights in increments—not repurchase the same tier.
6. Add the extension to your cart and purchase
Once you’ve set your extension:
- Click Add placement
- Add it to your cart
- Complete the checkout
Your updates will immediately take effect.
Viewing active and past placements
After purchasing or extending usage rights:
- Scroll to the bottom of the asset
You’ll see Active placements, Expired placements, and a full historical record
You can return anytime to review or extend rights further.
