In this lesson you will learn:
-
How to repost creator content on your owned & operated social and digital channels
-
Marketing channels to consider for repurposing content
All brands have 1 year of owned & operated rights to all content created on your #paid campaigns. This means you can repost the creators' content on the brand's social channels, website, digital newsletters, and blogs.
When repurposing content, here are some best practices:
-
Always tag the creator in the caption or on the post! Doing so adds a lot of credibility to your brand through the association with the creator who has a deep connection with your audience. Plus, it's important to credit the creator for the awesome content they created for your brand!
-
Keep the content true to what the creator posted on their feed! It's important when reposting content that you don't edit the content—that means, no added logos, filters, or cropping the image.
-
Don't copy and paste the creator's caption. Re-write it so that the post is coming from your own voice! This positions the content as a lot more authentic to your audience.
-
Using a repost App is typically not the best way to re-share the creators' content. Instead, download the content and re-upload it to your social feed with your new caption!
-
Invite your Social Media Manager to your #paid account! All the content created on your campaigns lives in the Content Library on the #paid platform. Simply invite your co-worker to the account, click Content Library, and download the content you want to use on your social channels. Below is an example of a brand that did a great job reposting a creator's photo to their Instagram feed:
