In this lesson you will learn:
- The two main type of collaborations on #paid
- What 'Organic' and 'Just Content' campaigns mean, your responsibilities, and the rights associated
There are two main types of collaborations through #paid, 'Organic' and 'Just Content'.
Organic
When you're working on an Organic collaboration, brands are paying you to create content and post it on your social feed(s). Unless otherwise noted, this type of collaboration also includes 12 months of owned & operated rights for the brand to use the content organically on their social channels, website, digital newsletters, and blogs (see more on content rights here).
Just Content
When you're working on a Just Content collaboration, brands are paying you to create content for them to use on their channels and you won't be posting the content on your social feed(s). Essentially, you're helping the brand create content for their social profiles, websites, and other marketing activities. Unless otherwise noted, this type of collaboration includes 12 months of owned & operated rights for the brand to use the content organically on their social channels, website, digital newsletters, and blogs (see more on content rights here).
How Should These Impact My Rates?
Typically, creators are setting their rates lower for Just Content deliverables as they are not posting directly on their feeds. You're in control over the rates you set, but most creators are setting these approximately 20% lower than Organic deliverables. You can learn more about updating your rates here.
